is billed as the largest triathlon in San Diego. The event includes 2 different courses, the Sprint - a 500 meter swim, 11-mile bike, and a 3-mile run. The Intermediate- a 1500 meter swim, 22-mile bike and 6-mile run.
The morning of the event the nonprofit announced 110 CCFA "Team Challenge" TRIrock participants collectively raised $350,000 for Crohns and Colitis!

There are so many stories within this story as to why these everyday heroes train 6 days a week over a 4 month period to compete in a race built for champions while at the same time fund raising $1000's to help find a cure for the very "not-sexy" diseases Crohns and Colitis. Many of the CCFA team challenge members are at the mercy of these disgusting diseases yet still display tremendous courage to get up and out every day to swim, bike and run for the cause!
I'm both proud and honored to have captured these heroes out on the course this past weekend for not only are they heroes they are my team mates.
